Biography

Carmen Delgado is an accomplished Venezuelan flutist and marketing specialist based in Dallas, Texas, seamlessly blending her passion for music with her expertise in social communication. She began her musical journey through El Sistema, Venezuela's acclaimed music education program, where she honed her skills at the Flute Academy of Venezuela and participated in masterclasses with internationally recognized flutists such as Philippe Bernold, Davide Formisano, Michael Kofler, and Sofia Vilands.

Carmen’s artistry has taken her to prestigious orchestras and concert halls worldwide. She performed with the National Children’s Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in 2010 under Sir Simon Rattle, and later with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Caracas in 2014 under Maestro Dietrich Paredes. Her performances include iconic venues such as the Musikverein in Vienna, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Tonhalle in Zurich, Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, La Scala in Milan, and Palacio de La Música Catalana in Barcelona. She was appointed principal flutist of the Symphony Orchestra of Caracas in 2016 and, in 2017, joined the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, performing internationally at venues including the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and Zaryade Concert Hall in Moscow under Maestro Christian Vásquez.

In addition to her musical career, Carmen holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication with a specialization in marketing from Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) in Caracas. Her dual expertise has been reflected in her roles as Teaching Artist and Marketing Specialist at Project Music and as Social Media Manager for El Sistema USA, where she combines her love for music education with her marketing experience to inspire young musicians and promote access to high-quality music programs.

Now based in Dallas, Carmen offers private flute lessons both in person and online, sharing her international experience and passion for music with the next generation of flutists.
